Do I need a Chess.com or Lichess password?
No. ChessMyself imports public completed games using a username. Your ChessMyself account uses Google sign-in only. Connecting a chess username does not verify that you own it.
What can I do without an account?
Open the latest 10 completed standard-chess games for a Chess.com username, replay the moves, get Stockfish analysis and advice, download the PGN, and start one personal practice session each day. No registration needed. A Free Google account adds Lichess, up to 100 games per player, Italian Game opening practice, and progress saved across devices. Guests can preview opening lessons; guided opening practice requires an account.
What counts as one practice session?
One personal workout containing up to 10 positions, or one opening lesson available in your plan. Signed-in Free accounts can practise the Italian Game; Silver and Gold include all openings. Guests can preview opening lessons but cannot start opening practice. Both types share your daily allowance. A session uses an allowance when it starts. You can resume an unfinished session without using another allowance. Guest and Free access each include one session a day; Silver includes ten; Gold has no daily session quota. The day resets at midnight UTC.
Are Silver and Gold subscriptions?
No. We don’t like subscriptions. Silver costs $19.95 once. Gold costs $29.95 once. Pay once and keep your plan forever. There are no monthly fees, annual fees, automatic renewals or recurring payments.
How do the game limits work?
The limit is the number of latest completed games available for each connected player: 10 as a guest, 100 with Free, and 200 with Silver. Gold lets you choose 200, 500 or all games when syncing. Imports run in batches and respect Chess.com and Lichess availability and rate limits, so a complete history may not always be downloadable.
How does ChessMyself choose exercises?
Stockfish checks your moves and rechecks useful opportunities before ChessMyself creates a position to practise. Some games may produce no exercises if a sufficiently clear opportunity is not found. Keep the page open while a game is being analysed.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The training room is designed for smaller screens, with a touch board and bottom navigation. Sign in with the same Google account to access your saved collection and practice on another device.
